Jim Huffman, Commissioner

Commissioner Jim Huffman retired from the Chelan County PUD following a 30-year career serving in environmental and regulatory compliance and power contract management. The East Wenatchee resident is an alumnus of Wenatchee High School, Wenatchee Valley College, and Central Washington University. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science. Jim served two tours of duty (from 1968 through 1972) in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Following the tragic homicide of his daughter and former wife, he became involved in non-profit organizations representing children and victims of violent crimes. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Good Grief Center in Wenatchee and the Families and Friends of Violent Crime Victims in Everett. In addition, Jim is the Governor's appointee on the Advisory Committee for the state Department of Corrections that evaluates and establishes new re-entry facilities across Washington State. He is a member and past-president of the Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary Club and is married to Christine.
