The Port of Douglas County currently owns and manages several properties in Douglas County. The general aviation airports in Waterville and Mansfield were acquired by the Port from Douglas County in the mid-1990s. Orondo River Park is a campground with RV and tent sites, as well as boating facilities, that is jointly owned by the Port and the Chelan County Public Utility District. Through an agreement with the Chelan PUD it is the responsibility of the Port to operate and manage that facility. Similarly, Pangborn Memorial Airport is jointly owned and operated by the Ports of Chelan and Douglas counties through a joint operating agreement. On the southwest corner of the Pangborn property, the Port of Douglas is the developer and manager of a 70-acre business park that has just recently been made fully available for new tenants.
As a landowner and property manager, the Port of Douglas County has a wide range of land and building space available for lease at these locations. For more detailed information on these opportunities, including property fliers that can be downloaded and printed with Adobe Acrobat Reader, please see the “Available Properties” pages.
